Ingredients:
1 cup butter (2 sticks), softended
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cup flour (sifted)
2/3 cup cocoa
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
12-oz pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup pecans (pieces)
This recipe is for a single batch,
which I seldom make. Double all ingredients for a 2X batch. It's
linear up to 8X, which is as far as I've taken the recipe.
Preheat oven to 350°. Blend butter
and sugar until smooth, add eggs and vanilla, beat until lightly
peaking. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a separate
bowl, stir until even, then blend in slowly until even. Fold in
chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto
ungreased cookie sheet. (Dual cookie sheets speed the process.) Bake
8 to 10 minutes or just until set (softbake). Cool slightly; remove
from cookie sheet to cloth. Cool completely (if snitchers don't raid
them first).
