This Issue's Song: Do You Want Me Tonight?
In the lyrics of Eric Clapton, "I bet
you didn't think I knew how to rock 'n roll." Well, here's one of my
contributions that runs decidely on the electric side; fuzzed out
lead guitar wailing, hard driving, full out, mindless 4/4 beat,
laying it on thick, cranked all the way up so that you feel it in
every cell of your body rock 'n roll.
Lyric wise, it's naturally a love/lust
song. To me it represents the one song that every woman wants to hear
from the right guy at least once in the innocence of her life. This
song has gotten me more attention after finishing the set in which I
played it than I care to remember. Done right, this one hits home in
a way that can't be dismissed easily. Don't play this song around
women you don't know unless you're seriously open to the prospects of
a new relationship. Your mother warned you about playing with
fire.
