This Issue's Song:
Crying in Your Beer by Nerly Dunford
This song is virtually all stolen
material or it wouldn't be what it is, a spoof on crying in your beer
songs. There are three parts to it, the main melody sung in a
typically sweet, deep-toned cowboy drawl. The heckler, in
parentheses, has that Chill Will's ahhh-ha whine with a sharp
satirical jab. The chorus, in brackets, is very typical, reminiscent
of choral harmonies in Tumbling Tumbleweeds.
As far as content, well, if you can't
get that on your own.............. Just a note to say that this was
the song that launched me on my way to writing music. It's by no
means the first music I ever wrote, but it was the one that started
the series of songs I wrote in the early 90's.
