So far, the 2000 Ragbrai was my absolute favorite of the Ragbrais' I have ridden since 1994.  I had missed a year and was so willing to get back that I left my job as a high school band director which consumed my Summer and cluttered my mind on the quiet stretches.  The Hawgs grew younger- both numerically and spiritually!  Aaron and Tara joined us and things were never quite as quiet.  That's a good thing.

'00 gave us the biggest challenge in my memory on Monday with the 4300 vertical feet of hills with a headwind.  Cool year!
