Since 1994, the first and best Live Ragbrai® Page on the Net

The 07 ride is history. It was great and quite a bit more challenging than we were thinking it would be. This year, it was the heat! At the left is a multimedia presentation that Kristen put together which will give you a synopsis of this year's ride. Give it time to load and double click it when it starts for full screen. It may be a bit stubborn to start.

And on the right is another presentation that I put together from photographs that Bryan and David Gum and Aaron Eilers took during the ride. Enjoy!

Welcome to Dave's Ragbrai Page. This is the site to get your live, day by day reports of happenings on the ride. Have your loved ones bookmark this site and follow us as we travel the approx. 500 mile, seven day bicycle ride across Iowa. Help us smash the myth that Iowa is flat.

According to Geobike, the route for the '07 ride is the 3rd flattest in the history of the ride, but that's not the only element. And it's looking like it's going to be a hot one! We'll be spending the first five days riding in the flat country with two days to give us some great hills. If you are a newbie planning on riding, you can get all the advice, pictures, text, and experience right here. Click on the links on the left. Of course, you have visited the Register's Ragbrai page, right? But when you visit here, you'll get the rest of the story.

About Dave's Ragbrai Page

Dave Plummer, and Norm Running from  The Woodlands, Texas along with Aaron Eilers from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Tara Hawkins from Cedar Rapids are your hosts in this year's Ragbrai, the DesMoines Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. Great thanks goes to The Digital Mainstream of The Woodlands, Texas for being our web host.  You don't have to spin the Crank! Just follow us daily as we head across the state. We'll be taking pictures as we go and posting them every evening as we cross. We will give you a running (or riding) commentary. We also will have our bikes marked so that if you are riding with us, you can find us in the 10,000 or so other folks. Flag us down and have us take your picture so that your friends and loved ones can see you as you pedal your way.

Thanks also go to Rich Ketcham at Geobike for graciously allowing us to use his profiles on the pages.

Check this Page often!  We'll be keeping Ragbrai Current all year Long!
